Frequently Asked
-
What kind of jewellery do you buy?We specialise in antique and vintage jewellery - Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, and mid-century pieces. We love jewellery with history or provenance, and can often offer more if the piece has documentation, an interesting story, or original packaging.
-
Do you buy broken or damaged items?Yes, we do - especially if they are antique or rare. Age-related wear doesn’t automatically reduce the value, and some items can be repaired or repurposed. We're more interested in the history and craftsmanship than perfection.
-
Do you buy gold or modern jewellery? We’re not a general cash-for-gold service - but we may buy modern pieces if they are high quality or signed by a designer. Our main focus is jewellery with character, craftsmanship, and age.
-
How do I send you my jewellery?Once you get in touch, we’ll send you a free, fully insured Royal Mail parcel, insured up to £2,500. You simply package your item securely, drop it off, and we’ll take care of the rest.
-
What if I’m not sure if my jewellery is valuable? Please just send us some clear photos and we’ll happily advise you. There’s no pressure and no obligation - we love helping people understand what they have.
-
How quickly will I get paid?Once we receive and assess your item, we’ll make a firm offer. If you accept, we’ll transfer payment directly to your bank account within 24 hours.
-
What happens if I don’t accept your offer? No problem at all - if you choose not to sell, we’ll return your item at no cost to you, using insured post.
-
How do you determine your offer price? We have over 25 years’ experience in the jewellery trade and direct links to dealers, collectors, and antique retailers. That means we’re able to base our offer on current retail values, not just scrap metal prices - ensuring you get the best possible return.
-
Is the price negotiable once I accept? No - once we make an offer and you accept, that price is locked in. We’ll never try to change it or reduce it later.
-
What proof of ownership do I need? We’ll ask for a form of ID (e.g. driving licence or passport), and ideally a short note explaining how you came to own the item - inherited, gift, or personal purchase. We just need to ensure everything’s above board for legal and insurance purposes.
-
What if I have a large collection or an estate to sell? We’d love to help. If you’re clearing out an estate or have multiple items, we can arrange a private consultation or virtual valuation session. Just get in touch to start the conversation.
-
Is there a minimum or maximum value you accept?Yes - we accept jewellery items with a minimum value of £100, and up to a maximum of £10,000 per item. If you’re unsure, just send us a photo and we’ll guide you.
